BLOGGER. JOURNALIST. STORYTELLER. CREATIVE.
While most parents hide candy from their kids, mine hid copies of People Magazine on top of the refrigerator, since apparently I wasn't satisfied sticking to National Geographic Kids. From a young age, I knew that I not only enjoyed reading and writing as hobbies, but that they were passions I wanted to turn into a career in the future. After graduating from Indiana University in the wake of COVID-19, my search for a career in the media realm begins. I aspire to work in production, public relations, social media, marketing, and editorial work.
For six years, I have had the opportunity to interview a variety of unique individuals, ranging from kidnapping survivor Elizabeth Smart, to Grammy Award-winning DJ Walshy Fire of Major Lazer, to the girl down the street who climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro. I've reported on-air and print stories for Indiana University, as well as written numerous published press releases for talent management company CLST City. In 2019, I spent the summer working at Cumulus Media in Indianapolis, producing social media content, working live sporting events and concerts, and monitoring digital feedback. I recently had the opportunity to intern at Sony Pictures Entertainment in Culver City, California, aiding in the development of the marketing plan for the camera rental program and providing photography support for events on the production lot. I occasionally worked with Highland Film Group in Los Angeles, writing script coverage and editing synopses for potential movies, as well as providing feedback on teaser trailers, posters, and billing blocks. Currently, I manage the social media at Indianapolis-based supplement and vitamin shop Health Spot, curating timely posts, copywriting, and brainstorming campaigns.
When not writing for work, I enjoy blogging on multiple topics, including travel, food, and mental health.
